The care and maintenance of personal fall protection equipment (PFPE) is vital to the effectiveness of your safe system of work. Under the “PPE Regulations” Your harness and ancillary equipment must be examined at least once every 12 months (Best practise 6 months). On completion of this course, you will be competent in inspecting harnesses and ancillary equipment. Subjects covered: The components of a fall protection system Legal requirements for the care and maintenance of PFPE Role of the equipment examiner Inspection of textile products Inspection of hardware products Maintenance and cleaning of PFPE Logging and equipment records Certification: Practical assessment of inspecting textile and hardware products. multi choice theory test. Certification and card valid for 5 years awarded on completion of practical and theory assessment. Numbers: Maximum of 12 students. Location: Birch House, Mansfield, NG21 0HJ.
